HERZOG delivers a fully automatic port laboratory for a 100 MTPA shiploading facility. The laboratory for iron ore includes moisture measurement, sizing, production of composite samples and chemical analysis. Samples of the preparation cell are handled by robots running on a linear track. This guarantees maximum sample capacity and safeguarding against failure if one robot is in service mode. The Prepmaster software system controls all sample preparation processes and administers the samples from all vessels at the wharf.

This present automation follows numerous other port laboratories which have been previously delivered by HERZOG to other customers.
