All advantages at a glance
Analytical Flexibility
The Bead One R combines highly repeatable and accurate analysis results with easy-to-use interfaces and maximum safety measures. Precisely controlled temperature and fusion parameters as well as the optional automatic magazine make the Bead One R to the future-proof instrument for your analytical excellence.
The Bead One R prepares glass beads for XRF analysis or borate or peroxide solutions for AA and ICP analysis. The fusion process can be exactly controlled by the parameters temperature, duration, heating rate and crucible rocking speed. After the melting process, the material can be either discharged into the casting dish or remain in the crucible until solid. Alternatively, the melt can be poured into acid solution cup which is positioned on a magnetic stirring device.
Heating chamber
The tube furnace made of high-quality components reaches a maximum working temperature of 1300°C. It is heated from two sides using powerful SiC rods. This ensures even temperature distribution and high energy efficiency. One of the PtRh-Pt thermocouples is fitted inside the furnace tube to enable direct temperature measurement. Wear-free and noiseless thyristors ensure absolutely precise temperature control.
Multi-layer furnace insulation ensures high temperature stability and low waste heat. The oven chamber and the heating elements are protected from aggressive and corrosive vapors by a ceramic tube. This can be easily replaced.
User interface
The clearly laid out touchscreen gives you a quick overview of the operating mode and process parameters. The software is equipped with 10 predefined preparation programs ex works. New recipes can be easily programmed, added and saved. Timers can be set to preheat and switch off the appliance for more efficient use of time. TCP/IP and USB connections enable remote access to the appliance and the export of data from the appliance for further analysis, if required.
Safety
The safety door is locked during the entire digestion and cooling process. The melt is poured off fully automatically without operator intervention. This prevents contact with hot containers or materials.
Magazine function
The Bead One R can be optionally equipped with a fully automatic magazine. This can also be retrofitted at a later date. The magazine can hold up to nine digestion crucibles and a corresponding number of pouring dishes. The samples are registered via the panel of the Bead One R - an additional panel or control unit is not required. The handling unit of the magazine transports the crucible and corresponding dish into the digestion unit. Once digestion, pouring and solidification are complete, the crucible and dish are moved to a specially covered cooling position within the magazine. The digestion unit is then available again and can melt the next sample from the magazine. After complete cooling, the crucible and dish are returned to their input position in the magazine and can be removed by the operator. The magazine of the Bead One R is designed for maximum safety. The safety door prevents contact with the handling system. The cooling position, which is out of reach of the operator, guarantees that samples can be processed in "cool-to-cool" mode.
