Contamination-free unpacking of powder samples
The HR-ES is the compact machine for unpacking slag and other powder samples from a pneumatic carrier within a robot automation system. The pneumatic tube is emptied into a sample cup, which is transported by a robot and can be handled in an automatic crusher (e.g. HP-CA) or a pulverizer (e.g. HP-MA). After the emptying process, the pneumatic carrier and all contact surfaces inside the HR-ES are thoroughly cleaned using compressed air to prevent cross-contamination of subsequent samples.
Optimized processes
The pneumatic carrier is taken out of the HR-ESK/L laboratory station by the robot, transported to the HR-ES and opened there. After discharging the sample material, the capped and cleaned carrier is returned to the HR-HSK/L and transported back to the plant. If in the meantime another pneumatic carrier has arrived at the same station in the laboratory, the pneumatic carrier can also be temporarily buffered in a magazine within the robot circuit.
The cup filled with the sample material is transferred via the robot to a machine integrated in the robot circuit or transported via a linear system, e.g., to a slag preparation unit outside the robot circuit.
Perfectly coordinated
All processes in the HR-ES and the upstream and downstream components are coordinated in such a way that the powder samples can be processed as efficiently and quickly as possible. At the same time, the PrepMaster software ensures that the sample preparation and analysis of high-priority steel samples is not impaired by the slag samples, which are generally of lower priority.
